Pacific & Orient Insurance Launches Online Game, Promotes “Drive Less Pay Less” Message
Pacific & Orient Insurance Co Bhd (POI) has launched a new interactive online game called “Shortcut by PrOmilej”. It is aimed at promoting the “drive less pay less” message among consumers.
Players can win prizes worth up to RM88,000 by playing the PrOmilej Shortcut game, which is won by finding the shortest route in the shortest amount of time. This includes the grand prize of a brand-new Proton X50 and a weekly prize of a Samsung Galaxy A32.
POI is the provider of the country’s first pay-less-when-you-drive motor insurance plan. In a statement, POI said that it wants to create awareness of its PrOmilej plan, which strays away from the usual one-size-fits-all motor insurance type and instead offers premiums based on expected annual mileage.
PrOmilej comes in three options (less than 5,000km, 10,00km, and 15,000km) with corresponding savings of as high as 40% on comprehensive car insurance premiums. It also allows customers to “top-up” the mileage for additional premiums if they have underestimated how much they need.
According to POI CEO Noor Muzir Mohamed Kassim, the flexible nature of the product is a highlight especially given the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) in Malaysia, which saw a reduction in vehicle usage due to movement restrictions and work-from-home norms.
The campaign for the PrOmilej Shortcut game will run until 11 July. Head on over to the POI website to find out more.
